Tanya Finney (Tonya) grew up seeking the love of others for acceptance and fulfillment. Her journey led her to several bad relationships that further fueled the emptiness felt in her heart. Enlightenment began in a physical move where she discovered the love she had been searching for – the love of Christ.
A participant and former leader in a women’s ministry group, she has been sought after for counsel, prayer, and discipleship among church members and friends. Her poem “Do You See What I See?” has been selected for publication in The International Library of Poetry’s collection, Eternal Portraits, and has been nominated for 2005 “Poet of the Year” by the organization. The owner/creator of “Divine Expressions,” the company in which she writes poetry, Tanya lives in the metro Atlanta area where she teaches high school English. She shares her joy of reading various genres and writing poetry with her students.
